• Published Child-Support Appellate Victory: In County of San Diego v. P.B. and L.C., He epresented a mother in successfully challenging a support calculation that credited the father with parenting time he was not exercising. The Court of Appeal reversed that portion of the ruling and ordered support recalculated using the father’s actual parenting time. The published decision established citable California guidance for future child-support cases.
• Primary Custody Secured for a Marine Father: Helped a father serving in the United States Marine Corps obtain primary custody of his son. The father credited Beavans with preparing him thoroughly for mediation, responding to unexpected developments and explaining the available options—including which approaches could resolve the dispute most economically.
• Complicated Family Matter Resolved Within an Essential Deadline: Guided a client through a family-law case that became substantially more complicated than expected while still obtaining a settlement and the necessary court orders within the client’s required timeframe.
